What ISO 9001 Means for Servo Motor Cable Assemblies

Posted by Electro-Matic on Aug 23, 2018 8:00:00 AM

ISO 9001 for quality management systems is the most widely used international standard in the world. Developed to give organizations a reliable, uniform framework for their quality management systems, it’s a signal to businesses around the world that their suppliers and partners prioritize quality. For essential products—like servo motor cables—that can put profits, equipment, and staff safety on the line if they are improperly constructed, ISO 9001 certification gives businesses security and confidence.

Electro-Matic Integrated vs Siemens Motion Connect Cable Assemblies

Posted by David Bousfield on Aug 9, 2018 8:00:00 AM

When seeking replacement cable assemblies, many engineers find themselves with a difficult consideration; should they wait for a cable they know will work, but sit through endless OEM lead times? Or order a third-party cable with quick-turnaround, but uncertain performance? When producing custom machinery or other types of specialty manufacturing equipment based on customer requirements, standard solutions won’t always work. The surrounding environment, the use of non-standard components, new applications, or variations on common automation devices can create difficulties, especially where servo-motor cables are concerned. When this happens, you don’t have to try to make due with standard servo-motor cables. There are many ways to customize your servo-motor cables to maximize the functionality, usability, and safety of your custom equipment.

The following are five servo motor cable assembly modifications that we’ve frequently conducted. These changes may help you find the perfect fit as well.

3 Ways To Replace Servo Motor Cables Without The Manufacturer

Posted by David Bousfield on Jul 18, 2018 3:14:43 PM

A missing or damaged servo motor power or feedback cable can create significant downtime and hurt your company’s bottom line. A single servo motor cable, that is unavailable prior to a required ship date, can have a major impact on a customer relationship, or result in a late shipment penalty fee.

Smarter Sensor Solutions, Smarter Cranes... with Laser Sensors

Posted by Electro-Matic on Dec 12, 2017 11:38:42 AM

Adding intelligence to overhead cranes, trolleys and monorail transfer systems is as easy as 1, 2, 3.

Bumper cars, they are electrically powered "cars" with rubber bumpers surrounding the body. As the name suggests, bumper cars are designed to collide with other cars in a shared space. The rubber diffuses the collision, keeping the occupant safe.

Overhead cranes, trolleys and monorails are not bumper cars. In fact, they might be the most expensive heavy equipment in your possession. While they share the same rails or tracks, they should never come in contact with one another. Applying rubber bumpers is not the way to keep the equipment safe and limit damages, it is better to prevent a collision all together. This is where laser sensors come in.
